„Safety first“ and „Time is money“ – these two phrases are more important than ever in everyday working life. Cometto is the first manufacturer to integrate the TPMS tyre pressure monitoring system into its self-propelled vehicles. This raises safety and time savings in SPMT operations to a new level.
Just imagine: for a 64 axle lines combination, an operator has to check a total of 256 tyres. Even with an estimated time of just three minutes per tyre, that would be 13 hours of pure inspection work. If, for example, an additional 20 tyres have to be inflated, that necessitates further time and effort. This process is revolutionised with the TPMS. The system automatically detects which tyres need to be inflated, eliminating the need for manual checks. Instead of 13 hours, the driver only needs about an hour to inflate the tyres.
Saves time and money
The TPMS uses wireless high-performance sensors that are integrated directly into the wheel rims and are equipped with easily replaceable batteries – without having to remove the tyres. The sensors and receiver are designed for long battery life, ensuring reliable operation for extended periods of time. Each SPMT module is equipped with a display that shows the tyre pressure values – even when the module is unpowered and not connected to the Powerpack.
The TPMS enables predictive maintenance, reduces tyre wear and minimises downtimes. It increases safety by reducing the risk of tyre explosions and maintaining a constant pressure. This significantly optimises performance and reliability in every application. Of course, the increased safety provided by the TPMS also benefits the operators, whose working conditions are thus further optimised.
